Le micro-son et la barricade de la rue myrha

This piece is played with two speakers laying on the floor in the middle of the audience. The live coding is based on recordings from the wooden floor of Paris Commune activist Jarosław Dabrowski's former home, commemorating the sad day of his death in 1871 on the barricade de la rue myrha.

The first performance took place at La Générale on April 5 2010.

Excerpt of sound recording

Algorithms are the friends of resistence. In memory of the footsteps of Jaroslaw Dabrowski, let's iterate the microsound-floor of his home in 1871. This iteration is not by tweaking machines, but by writing letters to each other.
